Is it Actually Chiropractic?

This article is aimed to help clear up what Chiropractic is and what Chiropractic isn’t, since there seems to be some questions for the public.

It can be confusing what the purpose of upper cervical chiropractic is, especially with many different practitioners using different explanations, different tests and sometimes even different techniques.

The goal of Chiropractic is to correct mis-alignments in the spine, known as Subluxations (Read about What is Subluxation or How to know you Have a Subluxation) which are having a negative effect on the nervous system, especially at the top of the neck which we call the Upper Cervical spine (the top bones C1 and C2, learn more about Upper Cervical here).

Chiropractic adjustments are used to correct subluxation and should be the main treatment for any practitioner. Some Chiropractors may use other types of techniques such as massage, stretching or exercises.

While these techniques can be useful for certain conditions, they do NOT correct Subluxation and are not part of Chiropractic.

It’s kind of the equivalent of my dentist giving me advice about my blood pressure, they work in a similar field and are very knowledgeable, however it isn’t their speciality and it would be better to stick to teeth.

At Vitality Chiropractic we focus only on correcting Subluxations in the upper neck, helping to take pressure off of the brain-stem, so that your body can heal and stay healthy for the future (Watch our patients Recovery Story here).

We don’t need to use any painful massage techniques or long stretches or exercises to help our patients achieve a solution to their problem. Our patients’ spasming muscles are able to relax naturally once the spine is properly aligned and the nervous system is working optimally.

Since 2013, Upper Cervical Chiropractor, Dr. Shaan Rai helped patients achieve greater health, relocating to Singapore in 2016 and founding Vitality Chiropractic Centres. He has an impressive track record in providing relief and solutions for people who experience nerve system problems, such as headaches, migraines, dizziness, vertigo or neurological conditions.

Take your life back.
