Five Essential Steps of Kundalini Meditation
Kundalini meditation is a powerful practice that aims to awaken and channel the dormant energy within us, known as Kundalini energy. This transformative process can lead to heightened spiritual awareness, inner growth, and profound states of consciousness. In order to feel this mysterious energy, it is important to understand and follow the five essential steps of Kundalini meditation. Let’s explore these steps:
Step 1:
Rub the palms of your hands together for 3 to 5 minutes so you begin to create heat within your hands.
Step 2:
This Step requires a rapid fluttering of your diaphragm while you begin to breathe very quickly in and out of your nose. The diaphragm extends on the inhale and contracts on the exhale. To make sure you know what this feels like, you can place your hand on your stomach and feel it expand as you inhale and relax as you exhale. Inhale through your nose as your stomach goes out, exhale through your nose as it releases. Repeat it Inhale out, exhale release. Inhale out, exhale release.
Remember to both inhale and exhale through your nose. Breath of fire is very rapid, with your diaphragm fluttering. Note: If you have a medical conditions or you’re a woman on your period/pregnant, just do long, deep breaths.
Practice this for 3 minutes
Step 3:
Now raise your arms up at the sides and push your hands out to the sides as if you’re pressing the energy of the walls away from you. Feel that energy move through your hands. Then take a deep breath in, exhale, and release your arms down.
Step 4:
In step 4 you rub the palms of your hands together again for 2 minutes. Rub vigorously to get the heat going again.
Step 5:
This is the final step! You bend both elbows, keeping your forearms parallel with each other. Your left hand is below, palm up, next to your diaphragm. Your right arm is above, palm down, next to your chest. As you sit in this kundalini meditation for 3 minutes you’ll feel the energy expand. You’ll feel heat and a magnetic force between the palms.
Feel the activation as you sit in this meditation for 3 minutes.
When you come out of your meditation you’ll feel your hands are activated. You’ll feel energized. You’ll feel you’ve done a great healing practice for yourself. And you’ll be able to offer any kind of healing when it’s asked for, or if you need it.
