What Happens on My First Appointment?

Your first visit focuses on understanding your health concerns and determining whether chiropractic care is appropriate for your case.

01 Consultation

A detailed discussion of your medical history, previous injuries, lifestyle factors, and current symptoms will be conducted. This helps identify how your condition affects daily life and whether further evaluation is required.

02 Physical Examination

The chiropractor will perform a physical assessment, which may include posture analysis, muscle testing, orthopaedic tests, balance checks, and blood pressure measurement where relevant.

03 Nerve System Tests

Non-invasive nerve system assessments may be carried out, such as spinal thermography, to evaluate patterns of nerve function and support clinical decision-making.

04 X-rays

If clinically indicated, X-rays may be recommended to assess spinal alignment and structural considerations before proceeding with care.

What Happens on My Second Appointment?

Your second visit focuses on reviewing your assessment findings and discussing the next steps in your care. This appointment ensures you have a clear understanding of your condition before deciding how to proceed.

01 Review of Findings

The chiropractor will explain the results of your physical examination, nerve system tests, and any X-rays taken. Findings are discussed in a clear and structured manner so you understand what has been identified.

02 Customised Care Plan

Based on your results, a personalised care plan will be outlined. This may include recommended frequency of visits, proposed techniques, and expected timelines. Costs and options will also be discussed so you can make an informed decision.

03 First Adjustment

If you are comfortable proceeding and no contraindications are present, your first chiropractic adjustment may be performed during this visit.

04 Questions and Goals

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and clarify your goals. This helps align the care plan with your expectations and lifestyle.

05 Follow-up Care

Ongoing care recommendations will be explained, including monitoring progress and scheduling follow-up visits where appropriate.

You are under no obligation to proceed. Care begins only when you feel fully informed and ready to start.

What Happens After My Test Results?

On EVERY scheduled appointment there will be a scan of your Nerve System. If the scan indicates Subluxation (a problem in your Nerve System) the Chiropractor will adjust your upper neck.

After ALL adjustments there is time in the Recovery Suites. This allow your joints and muscles to get used to the new position of the bones, helping to speed up your progress and have longer lasting results.

Will There Be Re-Examinations?

Yes! These will be scheduled as part of your tailored plan to monitor your progress.

Will There Be Exercises?

We use Functional Neurology Rehab exercises to complement our Chiropractic care. This helps our patients get faster results and to maintain these results for longer.

We aim to provide flexible payment arrangements to suit different preferences and care plans. Details will be discussed during your appointment so you can choose an option that fits your needs.

Payment Methods

Payments may be made per session or as a full plan payment, depending on the agreed care plan. We accept cash, NETS, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and UnionPay.

Instalments

For patients who prefer to spread out payments, instalment options may be available. Accepted platforms include Atome and ShopBack, subject to their respective terms and conditions.

Pre-payment

Some patients choose to make advance payments for their recommended care plan. This option will be explained clearly before any commitment is made.

Insurance and Claims

Yes! Depending on your insurance company you may be able to claim for all appointments. We advise contacting your insurance agent for full details. We do not work directly with insurance companies, but can help to provide memos and receipts as needed.

Dr Shaan (Traditional and Complimentary Therapy Qualification) is a Chiropractor from London (UK) who graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (UK) as a Doctor of Chiropractic (not medical doctor or dentist). He has completed post-graduate studies and has been serving patients in Singapore since 2015.

He founded Vitality Chiropractic Centres to open the first Upper Cervical clinic in Singapore, and the only practicing Knee Chest Upper Cervical Technique in South East Asia.

He is the Alliance of Chiropractic (AoC) Chairman for Outreach, organising events within Singapore with the People’s Association and other charities. Shaan has served thousands of patients, with experience in patients with headaches, migraines, vertigo, Meniere’s, trigeminal neuralgia, whiplash, IBS and other chronic nervous system problems.

Dr Jessey (黄钰心矫正师) (Traditional and Complimentary Therapy Qualification) is a Chiropractor from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), graduated from Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (UK) as a Doctor of Chiropractic (not medical doctor or dentist). She has experience serving patients from 2 weeks old to 96 years old prior to moving to Singapore and joining Vitality Chiropractic (活力脊椎矫正中心).
